This year has been very difficult and very strange, to say the least. We have all had to cope with COVID-19 to some extent and in some way. Many have been affected directly by getting the virus or a friend or family member contracting it. Many have suffered the loss of a loved one because of it. To all who mourn this Thanksgiving, we ask God to comfort them. To all who cope, which is all of us, we ask for God’s strength.
We started this season of affliction with a statement from the ministry on March 15, 2020. It stands true today.
Covid Hope and Encouragement
In this time of confusion and uncertainty because of the Corona Virus pandemic, we must rightly remember who is in control. Our God is sovereign over all things, including COVID-19. As Charles Spurgeon (1834-1892) once said, “The sovereignty of God is a soft pillow on which weary people lay their heads.”
Remember also God’s gracious promise, and that He is faithful to keep it: Hebrews 13:5 …”I will never leave you, nor forsake you.”
The next verse reminds us of the power that comes in trusting God and how we can live: Hebrews 13:6 So that we may boldly say, The Lord is my helper, and I will not fear what man [or COVID-19] shall do to me.
God loves us, unconditionally, and in Christ, we find confidence and calm in times of uncertainty and trouble. When we trust in God, fear is replaced with faith, stress is replaced with strength, anxiety is gone and hope abounds, problems become opportunities, and we are able to receive the blessings God has for us in the midst of difficult circumstances.
Turn to Jesus. He will lead you to the still waters and give rest for your troubled soul.
This hope we have as an anchor of the soul, both sure and steadfast…Hebrews 6:19

Do You Know Jesus?
The Bible clearly states that everyone has sinned and fallen short of God's glory (Romans 3:23). It also emphasizes that while the wages of sin is death, God offers us the incredible gift of eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord (Romans 6:23).
If you have not yet accepted Jesus as your Lord and Savior, know that today is the day of salvation (Acts 28). Turn away from your sinful past and turn to Jesus. Remember, “Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord Jesus Christ will be saved” (Romans 10:13). Don’t wait—find hope and redemption!
