“And in this mountain the LORD of hosts will make for all people a feast of choice pieces, a feast of wines on the lees, of fat things full of marrow, of well-refined wines on the lees.” Isaiah 25:6
A feast bespeaks plenty, harmony, and joy. Many feasts were appointed under the law, in commemoration of various deliverances and mercies. The gospel appoints one great perpetual festival, in consequence of the one grand blessing which comprehends all other mercies — redemption by the blood of Christ.
- The table is always spread.
- The company is always welcome.
- The season is always pleasant.
- The joy is always new.
Lord, I once was feeding upon husks, upon ashes, upon the wind, and drinking down iniquity like water. But, O wonderful love! You did invite and bring me to Your own feast! You feed me with the bread of life and cause me to drink of the wine of Your consolation. May I never more have an appetite for the vanities of the world!
My soul, have you an appetite for spiritual provision this morning? There is a feast prepared, The invitation is sent to you. The welcome is hearty and sincere. All that is necessary is the appetite.
If you are hungry, go feed on the bread of life; if you are thirsty, go drink of the wine of the kingdom. Go — drink and forget your poverty and remember your misery no more.
Why was I made to hear Your voice
And enter while there’s room
When thousands make a wretched choice,
And rather starve than come?

Be Ready Always...
to give a reason for the Hope that you have (1 Peter 3:15). When you can’t share the gospel with your words, share it by leaving tracts that tell people about God's grace.
When leaving a tract, always be diligent to pray about the short gospel message. Pray that it be found by someone who is in need of Jesus’ saving grace, and pray that the person will have a tender heart and open ears to receive the gift Jesus desires to give them.
By the power of the Holy Spirit, even a small tract can help in turning a broken sinner from darkness to light.
