“Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today, and forever.” Hebrews 13:8
“Who became for us wisdom from God — and righteousness and sanctification and redemption — that, as it is written, ‘He who glories, let him glory in the LORD.'” 1 Corinthians 1:30-31
“Seventy weeks are determined for your people and for your holy city, to finish the transgression, to make an end of sins, to make reconciliation for iniquity, to bring in everlasting righteousness.” Daniel 9:24
“In the LORD I have righteousness and strength.” Isaiah 45:24
In ourselves, we find nothing but misery. In Christ, we have all that is good. He is our all. He works and gives what is necessary to salvation; therefore we cannot and need not bring any meritorious claims of our own. But since He is made unto us wisdom, righteousness, sanctification, redemption, and our all, we may and must rely only on His name and draw everything from Him by the continual prayer of faith. And when, by a living faith in Christ, He becomes our all — the law, sin, and Satan lose their power to condemn us.
My soul, see to it that you make Jesus your all this day. Go to Him for all you need. Flee to Him from all you fear. And carry to Him all your cares, sorrows, griefs, and woes. He is all you could wish. He has all you can want. And He will give all that your circumstances really require. Take Him as God presents Him, and use Him as your experience demands.
