“Unto the upright there arises light in the darkness; He is gracious, and full of compassion, and righteous.” Psalm 112:4

“Therefore do not cast away your confidence, which has great reward. For you have need of endurance — so that after you have done the will of God, you may receive the promise. For yet a little while, and He who is coming will come and will not tarry.” Hebrews 10:35-37

This shows that believers are subject to many changes of joy and sorrow. In a state of gladness, therefore — we have reason to fear; and in the hours of trouble and sadness — we have reason to entertain good hopes. Thus we shall be able to keep the happy medium between the extremes of levity and despair.

Before a man has a true sense of his own miseries, the complaints and infirmities of the saints are often a stumbling-block; but afterwards, they will administer to him great comfort. This is the reason that God has revealed them in Scripture; for the complaints of His children give more comfort than all their most heroic actions.

My soul, beware of presumption; yield not to fear — but exercise steady confidence in God — believing in the dullest night that light is sown for you and will soon spring up before you. Your Jesus is your light now — and soon will He appear as your everlasting light, and the days of your mourning shall be ended.

The Bible clearly states that everyone has sinned and fallen short of God's glory (Romans 3:23). It also emphasizes that while the wages of sin is death, God offers us the incredible gift of eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord (Romans 6:23).

If you have not yet accepted Jesus as your Lord and Savior, know that today is the day of salvation (Acts 28). Turn away from your sinful past and turn to Jesus. Remember, “Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord Jesus Christ will be saved” (Romans 10:13). Don’t wait—find hope and redemption!
