The book of Ephesians is all about identity in Christ. It is the book that tells you what God says about you. And He says you are:

  • blessed (Eph 1:3)
  • chosen in Him, to be holy, blameless ((Eph 1: 4)
  • predestined us unto adoption (Eph 1:5)
  • accepted, redeemed, forgiven, included in Christ, marked in Him, made alive, saved, raised up, chosen, adopted (Eph 1:5)
  • accepted, redeemed (Eph 1:7)
  • enlightened Eph 1:9)
  • heir of inheritance (Eph 1:11) and
  • sealed unto the day of redemption (Eph 4:30)

Remember this list from Ephesians when you question your value and your worth.  In God’s eyes, you are worthy.  But not because of what you do or what you have done but because of what Jesus has done for you.

Take a few minutes and watch this song, “You Say,” that tells of what God says about you.

Take a minute to consider what God says of you:

You say, I can’t do it.  God says, with Me you can. Phil 4:13

You say, I’m afraid.  God says, I have given you a spirit of power. 2 Tim 1:7

You say, I feel alone.  God says, I am with you always.  Mat 28:20

You say, I’m not able.  God says, I can make you able. 2 Cor 9:8

You say, I feel unloved.  God says, I love you.  John 3:16

You say, I feel rejected.  God says, I will never leave you. Heb 13:5b

You say, I’m not smart enough.  God says, I will give you wisdom.  James 1:5

You say, I am weary.  God says, I will give you rest. Matt 11:28

You say, I am needy.  God says, I will supply all you needs.  Phil 4:19

You say, I can’t forgive myself.  God says, You are forgiven.  Rom 8:1

You say, I feel inadequate. God says, Your sufficiency is in Me. 2 Cor 3:5

You say, I feel weak. God says, My grace is sufficient for you.  2 Cor 12:9

You say, Lord, I need Your help. And Paul reminds us to be “confident of this very thing, that God who has begun a good work in you will complete it until the day of Jesus Christ.” (Phil 1:6)

Do You Know Jesus?

The Bible clearly states that everyone has sinned and fallen short of God's glory (Romans 3:23). It also emphasizes that while the wages of sin is death, God offers us the incredible gift of eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord (Romans 6:23).

If you have not yet accepted Jesus as your Lord and Savior, know that today is the day of salvation (Acts 28). Turn away from your sinful past and turn to Jesus. Remember, “Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord Jesus Christ will be saved” (Romans 10:13). Don’t wait—find hope and redemption!
