“As the deer pants for the water brooks, so pants my soul for You, O God. My soul thirsts for God, for the living God.” Psalm 42:1-2
“Ho! Everyone who thirsts, Come to the waters; and you who have no money, come, buy and eat. Yes, come, buy wine and milk without money and without price. Why do you spend money for what is not bread, and your wages for what does not satisfy? Listen carefully to Me, and eat what is good, and let your soul delight itself in abundance.” Isaiah 55:1-2
Though a degree of uneasiness is connected with thirsting and panting — yet when considered as signs of spiritual life, they call for grateful acknowledgments, especially since they constitute a state of mind to which God applies great and precious promises. Wherefore, let not the hungry and exhausted despond, as though refreshment and strength would forever be withheld from them. They are invited to receive a supply from the Divine fountain. Nor shall it ever be said, “You approach in companies too large,” or “you ask too much.” The Holy Spirit produces the thirst, which qualifies us to receive from Jesus, and then He leads us for the satisfaction of our appetite to Jesus. The thirst of grace is always definite, springing from spiritual life. It can only be satisfied with spiritual blessings. Christ, and Christ alone, will satisfy the soul that is really taught of God. If the Holy Spirit has led me to thirst for spiritual blessings, I shall never be put off without them — but my soul will continue to cry until God gives them.

Be Ready Always...
to give a reason for the Hope that you have (1 Peter 3:15). When you can’t share the gospel with your words, share it by leaving tracts that tell people about God's grace.
When leaving a tract, always be diligent to pray about the short gospel message. Pray that it be found by someone who is in need of Jesus’ saving grace, and pray that the person will have a tender heart and open ears to receive the gift Jesus desires to give them.
By the power of the Holy Spirit, even a small tract can help in turning a broken sinner from darkness to light.
