My Many Voices, My Many Choices, by R.C. Rose

My First Voice echoed a popular creed:
Christ heals my body and meets my needs.
A seed planted for riches, health on demand,
Believing ease was faith’s true hand.

My Youthful Voice, my leadership declared,
In saving souls, in fervent prayers.
My sowing seeds everywhere, racing to do my part.
Hopefully earning crowns in Jesus’ heart.

My Peaceful Voice, a visible sound,
In Christ alone, true peace is found.
My chains are gone, the striving ceased,
In Christ, my soul has perfect peace.

My Broken Voice, a life in despair,
Sin and addiction proves bold, yet Christ is there.
Holding my broken pieces, no condemnation on high,
teaching me to hope, while forgiving my lies.

My Open Voice, louder with an open door,
My heart wide open, my soul shows more.
Through struggle and pain, my roots have grown,
Through Christ alone, my light is shone.

My Maturing Voice, seeds need SONlight for life.
A seed must struggle to endure the strife.
Faith grows strongest in the storm,
Not its own perfection, but being reborn.

My Walking Voice, His words to heed.
Providing and growing the faith we need.
Love is the words that speaks the best,
Christ’s power does the rest.

My Surest Voice, Come, to my quiet place,
Where grace abounds, loves soft embrace.
No works to do, no race to run,
Just rest in what my Savior’s done.
His hands have borne my weight of sin,
His love has bought me peace within.

My Resting Voice, Christ work complete,
My resting place beneath His feet.
The law fulfilled, the debt now gone,
Rest in the work of Christ alone.
My rest, my heart, just let it be,
In Christ alone, forever me.
