“Let us run with endurance the race that is set before us.” Hebrews 12:1

He that runs and lacks endurance will never arrive at the end of his spiritual race. Whereas every man will remove impediments from him who runs as an earthly competitor, he that runs in the way of God’s commandments is liable to be constantly interrupted. One will revile him, another falsely accuse him, a third will endeavor to intimidate him.

David had many enemies who spoke mischievous things against him and laid snares for his life. But David was as a deaf man that does not hear and “like a mute who does not open his mouth.” Saul was twice in his power — yet he would not avenge himself on him — not that he lacked either courage or wisdom. Moreover, David’s malicious adversary was intent upon destroying him, yet he submissively committed his cause to God and waited for God’s time of deliverance.

Christ’s active and passive obedience made Him a complete Mediator. May your active and passive obedience, make you a complete Christian, teaching you to hold-on, in the Christian race, until you attain the prize. Obedience: Grace gives it; the gospel reveals it; faith runs for it; justice will confer it, and the winner forever wears it.

Be Ready Always...

to give a reason for the Hope that you have (1 Peter 3:15).  When you can’t share the gospel with your words, share it by leaving tracts that tell people about God's grace.

When leaving a tract, always be diligent to pray about the short gospel message. Pray that it be found by someone who is in need of Jesus’ saving grace, and pray that the person will have a tender heart and open ears to receive the gift Jesus desires to give them.

By the power of the Holy Spirit, even a small tract can help in turning a broken sinner from darkness to light.
