“Repent and believe in the gospel.” Mark 1:15
Repentance, or godly sorrow for sin, is required by the gospel. It is absolutely necessary to faith in the Lord Jesus Christ and a life of union and communion with Him. O reader, Jesus calls you to repent. The God of heaven and earth calls you to repent. And you must repent or perish eternally in the flames of hell. Can you not give yourself the grace of repentance? You cannot. Pray, therefore, earnestly to the blessed Jesus, that His Holy Spirit may produce this saving change in you. Entreat Him to give you a living, justifying faith in His blood and righteousness, and that your heart may be filled with real sorrow for sin, with holy indignation against it and with a sincere and active determination to forsake it. Pray that you may walk by faith and not by sight, as seeing continually Him who, to the natural eye, is invisible. Faith will deepen and regulate repentance. Where there is no faith, there is no evangelical repentance; and where there is no repentance, there is no real religion. O for more faith in Christ, and then we shall have more repentance toward God! The gospel requires both, and Jesus is exalted to bestow both; and He does so freely, without money and without price. Make instant application to Him for them.

Be Ready Always...
to give a reason for the Hope that you have (1 Peter 3:15). When you can’t share the gospel with your words, share it by leaving tracts that tell people about God's grace.
When leaving a tract, always be diligent to pray about the short gospel message. Pray that it be found by someone who is in need of Jesus’ saving grace, and pray that the person will have a tender heart and open ears to receive the gift Jesus desires to give them.
By the power of the Holy Spirit, even a small tract can help in turning a broken sinner from darkness to light.
