“The form of this world is passing away.” 1 Corinthians 7:31

As long as we feed on the husks of the world and are in love with it — we are not able to taste the comforts of the love of God. But when sin and the world have become an abomination to us, and we desire to be rid of them and seek diligently Jesus Christ — we are then in a right way to receive the love of God and every blessing of salvation. And though we are chastened by the Lord — yet He is not angry with us — but does it to embitter sin and the world more and more to us and to make us loathe them, that we may not be condemned with the world.

My soul, forget not that you are in an enemy’s country, and that all around you is false — however fair it appears. Jesus and Jesus alone is your satisfying portion, and His glorious example is your model. Conformity to Him should be your aim — for just in proportion as you are conformed to Him, you are holy, useful, and happy.

Spirit of God, deliver me from the spirit of the world — and conform me to Jesus! I would resemble Him in all things — and so glorify His rich, free, and sovereign grace!

Let worldly minds, the world pursue;
It has no charms for me;
Once I admired its trifles too;
But grace has set me free!

Be Ready Always...

to give a reason for the Hope that you have (1 Peter 3:15).  When you can’t share the gospel with your words, share it by leaving tracts that tell people about God's grace.

When leaving a tract, always be diligent to pray about the short gospel message. Pray that it be found by someone who is in need of Jesus’ saving grace, and pray that the person will have a tender heart and open ears to receive the gift Jesus desires to give them.

By the power of the Holy Spirit, even a small tract can help in turning a broken sinner from darkness to light.
