“I will greatly rejoice in the LORD, my soul shall be joyful in my God; for He has clothed me with the garments of salvation, He has covered me with the robe of righteousness, as a bridegroom decks himself with ornaments, and as a bride adorns herself with her jewels.” Isaiah 61:10

In vain do you adorn yourself, O my soul, before you approach Christ? To Him you must come, not glorying in your presumed loveliness — but expecting all your attire and dignity from Him. The very best of our robes need to be washed in the blood of Christ (Revelation 7:14), and it is by faith in His atonement and righteousness that the holiest of men are justified before His heavenly Father.

The fruits of this faith are manifested in the renouncement of all self-righteousness, in the spirit of love, of humility, and unceasing prayer, wherein we find evidence that our names are written in Heaven. Spirit of God! Reveal this glorious righteousness of Jesus more clearly to me and put it mere sensibly in me, that I may joy and rejoice in it. To realize that all Jesus did is mine and that all He suffered He suffered for me, will fill me with joy unspeakable and full of glory.

The Righteousness of Jesus! I will wear no other robe when I appear before God. I will trust in no other work when I seek justification at God’s bar.

The Bible clearly states that everyone has sinned and fallen short of God's glory (Romans 3:23). It also emphasizes that while the wages of sin is death, God offers us the incredible gift of eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord (Romans 6:23).

If you have not yet accepted Jesus as your Lord and Savior, know that today is the day of salvation (Acts 28). Turn away from your sinful past and turn to Jesus. Remember, “Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord Jesus Christ will be saved” (Romans 10:13). Don’t wait—find hope and redemption!
